Inside FMM: The Other Bag by ALDO Takes NYC
In case you weren’t already aware, Inside FMM contributor Wendy Bendoni is a professor of fashion marketing at Woodbury University’s School of Business. Yes, she’s smart and beautiful.
This week, she traveled to New York City with her students, who are juniors and seniors in the fashion marketing program at Woodbury University in Burbank, California. The editors of FMM decided that since we were launching a social collaboration with ALDO the same week that professor Bendoni was introducing her students to the best of fashion in New York City, we should probably give all of the students The Other Bag by ALDO.
“The girls in the photos have NEVER been to NYC and are just amazed how much there is to do here,” said Bendoni. “So far we have met the DKNY PR Girl, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week social media director, general manager of Manhattan Mercedes, the publicists for Saturday Night Live, America’s Got Talent and The Voice. Tomorrow we head to meet the curator of the CFDA collection at FIT and Teen Vogue.”

What did the students think of The Other Bag? Here’s what they had to say:
“I am using my to carry my laptop, professional camera, extra water, Power Bar and resumes.”
“I really like the fact I can roll up The Other Bag and put it inside my purse. This way when I go shopping I can store my articles in The Other Bag.”
“I understand why they called it The Other Bag because when you are on the go you need another bag.”
Bendoni said that her group was stopped stopped on the street a total of 12 times by curious fashionistas asking about the bag. When asked which bag they like the best. The majority voted for the tropical bag, which is also the favorite of the assistant Dean of the School of Business at Woodbury. I don’t know about you, but it was a fun week following the students around New York and FMM writers around SXSW with their bags in tow. The bag is certainly the most well traveled tote of the season!
