Bonobos Teams with NBA Star for Online Pop-up Shop

Bonobos NBA Pop-up ShopMen’s apparel etailer Bonobos has partnered with three-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Deron Williams for a social good initiative–the Deron Williams Cyber Pop-Up Shop. Curated by Willimas himself, the online pop-up collaboration is the first of its kind for the professional basketball player and the men’s apparel brand, with 20 percent of the proceeds to be donated by Bonobos to Williams’ Point of Hope foundation.

This cyber pop-up initiative was conceptualized to raise awareness and funding for Point of Hope, a foundation started by Williams to support at-risk children through educational and recreational programs. Filled with pieces selected by Williams himself, online pop-up features “Business,” “Vacation,” “Travel” and “Casual” categories comprised of a range of suits, chinos, denim, casual favorites, knits, outerwear and accessories from Bonobos’ Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

“Deron is known for being a fantastic athlete, but he also is a fantastic guy,” said Andy Dunn, founder and CEO of Bonobos. “We admire his dedication to at-risk children and we are honored to amplify it. Our brand is about fit and energy, and so is Deron’s sense of style. We love his selections and we are excited to share them to benefit children in need.”

“I’m really excited to further my partnership with Bonobos by giving my fans a new and innovative way to get involved with The Point of Hope Foundation,” said Williams. “The brand has a great style, which made it easy to select outfits for the spring and summer seasons. The Deron Williams Cyber Pop-Up shop will be open through April 21.
