Coca-Cola Opens Pop-Up Recycling Shop In Israel
Coca-Cola recently launched a pop-up recycling shop, the first of its kind in Israel. The first store was opened on April 14, 2011 at the chic “HaTachana” district, among many fashion boutiques and galleries in Tel-Aviv. The main goal of Coca-Cola’s recycling stores is to promote awareness of recycling, by using the idea of “recycled fashion”.
Right after the opening of the flagship store, Coca-Cola opened several branches of the store all around Israel. All stores are selling a one-of-a-kind collection of T-shirts, bags, accessories, purses and even furniture–all recycled from used Coca-Cola bottles. The brand has special recycling containers for empty bottles. Visitors who bring their empty bottles to these stores receive discounts from Coca-Cola to be used towards the purchase of their new recycled collection.
The new project is also available online at the Israeli Coca-Cola online store on Facebook: http://www.cocacola.co.il/index_fb.asp
